Tally Wild Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 20, 2026
SKYZ the LIMIT LLC, an Ohio limited liability company doing business as Tally Wild ("we," "us," "our"), runs the Tally Wild web app at app.tallywild.com, the Tally Wild Windows desktop app, and the website at tallywild.com (together, the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It also covers landowners and other people whose information pilots enter, and people who contact a pilot through the Find a Pilot map (see section 2). We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
1. Information we collect
The table below lists the kinds of information we collect, with examples and the reason we need each one. Most of it comes from you or from the files you add. Some, such as usage and device data, comes from your browser or device when you use the Service, and payment status comes from Stripe. Information about landowners, Find a Pilot listings and Find a Pilot messages is described in section 2.
| What | Examples | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Account details | Name, business name, email, phone, password (stored scrambled) | To create your account, log you in and contact you |
| Billing details | Billing name, address, last 4 digits of your card, payment history | To charge your subscription. Full card numbers are handled by Stripe; we never see or store them |
| Flight files you upload | Pin files, property lines, your logo, the photos you put in a report, and a report-size copy of the property area of any same-day orthomosaic you add (the full orthomosaic file is read on your device and never uploaded). Your other photos and videos stay on your device: the app reads them in your browser without uploading them. During a free trial, only the photos you put in the trial report are uploaded, and they are deleted 14 days after a trial that ends without a subscription | To make your analyses and reports |
| Location data inside your files | Pin locations, photo locations and property boundaries | Organizing photos by pin, drawing maps, measuring acres |
| Landowner and customer details you enter | Landowner name, property name, phone, email, notes | To put them on the reports and invoices you create |
| Training photos (only while training photo sharing is on, see section 3) | Photos on animals you marked done, with their labels: animal, species, points, typical or non-typical, age, camera type, drone model, month of the flight, plus a random sharing ID for your program. Hidden photo data (GPS, exact date and time, drone serial) is removed before sending. No location, property, client or file names are sent | To build and improve animal identification and other Tally Wild features |
| Usage and device data | Pages used, features clicked, errors, browser type, IP address, approximate location from IP, and signs that an automated or AI browser is being used | To keep the Service working, secure and improving, and to block automated access |
| Messages | Support emails and problem reports | To answer you and fix problems |
| Error reports | When something breaks in the app: the time, the error message, where in the app it happened, your account email, your browser name and the app version. When you use Report a problem: what you write, plus a list of the app screens and buttons you used in the last 30 minutes. Never your photos, pin files, property lines, landowner details or passwords | To find and fix problems quickly, often before you have to call us. Error reports are deleted after 90 days |
| Invoice settings | Your pricing, invoice numbers and terms, and the amounts on invoices you make | To make the invoices you ask for |
| Website publishing details (optional) | Your website's FTP host, username, folder and web address, and the FTP password, stored in protected form | To upload reports to your own website when you ask us to |
| Partner and discount links | If you sign up through a partner's or a discount link: the link's code, the discount applied, and your payments to us. A partner is told only how many sign-ups, trials and paying accounts came from their link and the commission owed, not your files, photos or customers | To give you the right price and pay partners their commission |
2. Information about landowners and other people
Pilots upload information about the properties they fly, which can include a landowner's name, contact details and property location. The pilot is responsible for having the landowner's permission. We handle that information for the pilot, use it only to run the Service for that pilot, and do not use it to market to landowners. A landowner who wants their information corrected or removed can contact the pilot or email us at contact@skyzthelimitllc.com, and we will work with the pilot to handle it.
Photos and videos are of wildlife and land. Pilots agree not to upload images meant to identify or follow people. If people appear by accident, the pilot can hide or delete those files. Find a Pilot map: pilots who turn on a listing choose what the map shows: their name, business and town (the pin sits at the town or zip code, never a street address), and, only if they choose, their phone number and website after a landowner sends a message. When a landowner uses the Contact this pilot form, the name, phone number, email, property location, acres and note they enter are emailed to that one pilot and kept by us so we can count the messages each listing receives and stop spam. We don't sell this information or send it to anyone else. Pilots who pay for a listing give us their FAA Part 107 certificate number. We use it only to check the pilot's certificate against the FAA's public airmen records, and we keep it only while the listing is active.
3. How we use information
To provide the Service: store files, run matching, build reports, maps and share links.
To bill you and send receipts, trial and renewal reminders.
To send important notices about your account, security, and changes to our terms.
To answer support requests.
To find and fix errors, prevent abuse (such as repeated free trials or the use of automated or AI-driven browsers), and keep the Service secure.
To send product news, only if you opt in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
Training photo sharing. For accounts created on or after October 20, 2026, training photo sharing is on unless you turn it off, and Tally Wild tells you this the first time you open it. For accounts created before October 20, 2026, sharing stays off unless you turn it on. You can change the setting any time in Settings › Training photos, or turn it off for one job. While it is off, we do not use your photos or videos to train software. While it is on, we use only the photos and labels described in the table in section 1, never to identify a property, landowner or pilot, and we never sell them or publish them as photos.
AI check (optional, paid). When you run an AI check, we send a reduced copy of one photo per pin, with its hidden data (GPS, date and time, drone serial) removed, to our AI service provider, Anthropic, to get suggestions for the animal type, points, rack and age. No location, property, client or file names are sent. We keep the AI's answer and your final answer to improve Tally Wild, and keep the photo copy only if training photo sharing is on. Anthropic processes the copy under business terms that do not permit it to use the photos to train its models, and it may keep the copy for a limited time under its own terms, for example to check for misuse.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information with these service providers, which help us run the Service under contracts or terms that limit how they use it:
Payments: Stripe
Hosting, databases and file storage: Hostinger
Encrypted backups: a backup storage provider, which receives only encrypted copies
Email delivery: Hostinger's email service (support@tallywild.com)
AI check (only when you run one): our AI service provider, Anthropic, which receives the reduced photo copies described in section 3 under business terms that do not permit it to use the photos to train its models
Satellite base maps: the map provider receives the map area being drawn and the technical details any website receives, such as your IP address, but not your files
Your own web host (only when you publish a report to your website): receives the report files you publish, using the details you entered
We also share information when you tell us to (for example, a report link you send to a landowner), with the pilot a landowner contacts through Find a Pilot, with a partner (only the sign-up counts and commission described in the table in section 1), when the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of selling or merging the business (the buyer must honor this policy).
Where information is stored. Tally Wild is run from the United States and is meant for users in the United States. Your information is stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. If you use the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be handled under United States law.
5. Shared report links
A shared report link lets anyone who has it see that report, including the property map, pin locations and photos. Links are long and random and are not listed by search engines. Only share them with people you trust. You can turn off a link at any time.
6. How long we keep information
Your files and reports: while your account is active, then 60 days after it ends, then deleted.
Account details: while your account is active, then 60 days after it ends, then deleted, except what must stay in billing records
Usage and security logs, including IP addresses: only as long as needed to run and secure the Service, then deleted
Trial work: 14 days after a trial ends without a subscription, then deleted.
Billing records, including AI credit purchases and use: as long as tax law requires (usually 7 years).
Shared training photos: kept while they help build Tally Wild features, or until you ask us to delete them. Features already built from them may remain.
AI check records (the AI's answer and your final answer, and the photo copy if training sharing is on): kept while they help build Tally Wild features, or until you ask us to delete them.
Find a Pilot messages: 2 years, then deleted. Map listings, including a listed pilot's FAA certificate number: until the pilot removes the listing or it ends.
Error reports: 90 days, then deleted.
Partner commission records: as long as tax law requires, like billing records.
Backups: nightly backups are encrypted before they leave our server and are stored in a private backup account. Deleted information may remain in backups for up to 35 days, then is removed as older backups are replaced. We keep any information longer than this section says only when the law requires it, or to resolve a dispute, stop fraud or enforce our terms, and only for as long as that need lasts.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted storage, scrambled passwords, and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure; if a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you, and any government agency the law names, without unreasonable delay and within the time the law requires.
8. Your choices and rights
See, download, correct or delete your information from your account, or by emailing contact@skyzthelimitllc.com. We may ask you to send the request from your account email, or for other details, so we can verify it is you.
Delete your account in Account › Settings. Files are deleted as described in section 6.
Turn off marketing emails with the unsubscribe link. We stop marketing emails within 10 business days, and unsubscribing does not stop account emails such as receipts, trial and renewal reminders, and security notices.
Turn training photo sharing on or off in Settings › Training photos, or off for one job. To have photos you already shared deleted, email us the sharing ID shown there. Features already built from them may remain.
Depending on where you live, a state privacy law may give you rights such as knowing what personal information we hold about you, getting a copy, correcting it, deleting it, and opting out of its sale or its use for targeted advertising. Each law applies only to businesses that meet that law's own size or activity tests. We offer the access, correction and deletion choices above to all users, and we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. To make a request, email contact@skyzthelimitllc.com. If we deny a request and your state's law gives you a right to appeal, you may appeal by replying to our decision. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
9. Cookies
We use necessary cookies to keep you logged in and secure, and simple analytics to see which features are used. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, and we do not track you across other websites. Stripe may use its own cookies and device information on the checkout page to prevent fraud, under its own privacy policy. Because we do not track you across other websites, we do not change how the Service works in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals. You can block cookies in your browser, but logging in will not work without the necessary ones.
This website (tallywild.com) counts visits without cookies. For each page view we record the page, the website that sent you (for example Google or Facebook), whether you are on a phone, and a code made fresh each day from your IP address and browser details, built so it cannot be used to tell who you are. We do not keep your IP address for this, and the counts are not shared with anyone.
10. Children
The Service is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will email you or show a notice in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. We will not use information we already have in a way that is materially different from what this policy said when we collected it unless you agree first. The effective date at the top shows the latest version.
